Visitors wanting to hike in the Fernkloof Nature Reserve can now do so with a ranger at their side. Fernkloof Rangers are on duty every day, waiting to accompany you on your walk through the Reserve.

They have intimate knowledge of the fauna and flora of the area, which hiking routes to follow according to your fitness levels and know what to do in case of emergency. Photographed below are Cameron and Jamie with visitors from Brazil who wanted to know a tad more about the environment they were exploring. You will find them posted at the visitors center where you can also view the flowers of many of the fynbos species currently blooming in Fernkloof. Walking sticks are are also available on loan for your hike.
