Station 17 Hermanus N.S.R.I

The National Sea Rescue Institute has over 900 unpaid volunteers who respond 24/7 all year round to save lives on South African waters. The organisation relies entirely on donations & sponsorship’s from the public to cover their annual running cost of approximately R 52.5 million. In 2006 the Water Wise Academy was launched and has since it’s inception taught almost 700 000 children on what to do in an emergency, who to call for help and how to initiate basic bystander CPR while they wait for the ambulance to arrive. Station 17 is located at the New Harbour and it is from here that craft are launched in emergency rescue situations along our coastline <3 NSRI Hermanus: 028 312 3180 Emergency Number: 082 990 5967 Station Commander: Henk Henn Deputy Station Commander: Deon Langenhoven Please consider donating to this worthy cause.
